Hello, I have been spending lots of time discussing the new season of American Idol on other sites but wanted to give you the latest about some of our idols.
First up is belated birthday wishes to Lindsey Cardinale. She turned 23 years old on February 5th. Recently Lindsey signed with Aria Records in Nashville. Kind of a surprise since on her Season 4 we saw her more as a R&B singer. Seems she is very good friends with Carrie Underwood and is now pursing a country music career. One tidbit that many may not know is Lindsey plays guitar, piano, drums and even the fiddle. Working on her debut album currently she has already recorded a duet with another Aria artist Stephen Cochran which is called "Let It Rain". Congrats and best wishes for great success Lindsey!
Belated birthday wishes also go to Vanessa Olivarez from Season 2. Vanessa has been busy since her idol days. After her 12th place finish she went to Canada. Being a songwriter as well as a singer she scored very well with her first single "The One" on the Canadian charts. It peaked at #9. Another single of hers "As Vain As You" was included on the compilation cd "Girls Night Out 3". She also played the lead of Tracy Turnblad in the Toronto production of "Hairspray". After returning to the U.S., she became a member of the band "Butterfly Stitch". Their album "Radical Love" held the #2 spot for 3 consecutive weeks on the Idol Waves Top 15 charts. Way to go Vanessa and wishing you continuing success with your career!
