Seems those Jersey boys Bon Jovi is having a celebration to open a brand new, state of the art sports and entertainment venue in Newark. Who is opening for this great group but none other than Chris Daughtry from season 5. Some of the other special quests are My Chemical Romance, Big & Rich, Gretchen Wilson and others. This celebration is running from October 25th thru November 10th. Side note: I am a huge fan of Bon Jovi!
More birthday congrats go to 2 other alumnis of idol. First up Jon Peter Lewis celebrates his 27th birthday on November 7th. Jon has a new contract with Authentic Records and is promoting his cd "Stories From Hollywood". He will also be touring. Go to his myspace page for further details.
Bucky Covington also celebrated his 30th birthday on November 8th (same day as the CMA's this year). Bucky is currently still riding the wave of success with his self-titled cd. He is also on his "Raisin The Bar" tour with Jason Michael Carroll.

To Carrie Underwood who won for the second year in a row "Female Vocalist of the Year" on the CMA awards show. Her hit "Before He Cheats" was also honored as "Single of The Year". Carrie is indeed having a very successful career as Simon Cowell predicted. Congrats Carrie!

Some more chat to relay. Seems one of the guitar players named Rose of the band Dot, Dot, Dot used to be a member of the Gina Glocksen band "Catfight". In case you don't know Dot, Dot, Dot are currently competing in the new show "The Next Great American Band". In the last 2 weeks this band has really taken the judges advice to heart and are getting better each week. 
Best wishes go to Jessica Sierra who turned 22 on November 11th. She was a Season 4 contestant and I think got voted off way too soon. Loved her rendition of "Total Eclipse of The Heart". She also was fantastic on the tour that year. Haven't heard much about her since then but recently read she was arrested for assault in Florida I think. Too bad as she is one heck of a singer. Anyway............
