After an extended cocktail hour on the upper deck of the yacht, hordes of young social types descended on the inner ballroom to enjoy a decedent buffet spread. Meanwhile, Elliott Yamin (pictured at right, best known for his third place finish on season five of American Idol) took the stage to share his own experiences.

“I have Type I diabetes,” he told the crowd. “I’ve struggled with it. We’ve come a long way, but we’ve got a long way to go. I’m honored to be a part of a group that’s so dedicated to patient care and education.”
